Inspiration of Smithtown

We will honor an everyday person who has overcome adversity, or has proved to be a role model through everyday actions.

Overcame tremendous odds or hardship:

• Succeeded despite personal obstacles; i.e. physical handicaps, mental handicaps, poverty, prejudice.
• Fought injustice; i.e. won ground-breaking lawsuits, turned the tables.
