Help Us Recognize our Alumni!

Each year, the Smithtown Alumni Association will honor alumni who have achieved distinction through career achievements or voluntary service.

Recipients of the following awards will be recognized at the Hall of Fame Awards Reception in the fall.

• Pride of Smithtown Schools will honor success and achievement in a given field.
• Hero of Smithtown Schools will honor social commitment, selflessness, and service to humanity.
• Inspiration of Smithtown Schools will honor an everyday person who has overcome adversity, or has proved to be a role model through everyday actions.
• Loyalty to Smithtown Schools will honor a person who has devoted energy, drive and enthusiasm to the Smithtown school district through the years.

Dr. Charles Planz, Superintendent of Schools; Robert Madarasz, Dave Lewis, Mrs. Kaminsky (accepting for her son Christopher), Sherri Juhas, Michael Arnold, Mrs. Maresca (accepting for her husband Michael), Bill Holst, Co-President of Alumni Association, and Sue Moriarty, Board of Education President.

Our first two 2002 recipients, Soledad O'Brien, "Pride of Smithtown," and Dave Lewis, "Hero of Smithtown," were recognized at the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Smithtown Industry Advisory Board.
